Alia Bhatt, Imtiaz Ali bring on the ‘Highway Diaries’

The young budding actress of the student of the year fame, Alia Bhatt, had bagged her second role in the film industry, in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’ opposite actor Randeep Hooda ,which is set to release in a couple of months. The makers of the movie have however brought out a new concept of narrating to the audience the ‘behind the scenes’ of the film by introducing episodes called ‘Highway Diaries.’The movie ‘Highway’ is all about an ongoing journey and by introducing the highway dairies, the makers intend to bring out the fun moments and incidents that
occurred during
the making of the movie. Each of the episodes will last for 1 or 2 minutes in which the various crew members would talk about their experiences, emotions and memories associated with the movie. The first episode which released recently begins with the lead actress, Alia Bhatt dressed as a sardar, in which, we must agree, she is looking extremely cute. The episode then proceeds with the line producer who comes from Punjab talking about his experience working with director Imtiaz and the entire team of ‘Highway’. Every journey on the highway is packed with a lot of stories and through the highway diaries the makers want the audience to know completely the heart and soul of the movie through the reminiscence about the shooting days by the cast and crew. It has been planned that about 18 to 20 such episodes would be released across the next few months at fixed times.
Imtiaz Ali who is one of the most talented filmmakers of Bollywood is known for giving entertainment packed movies like ‘Jab we met’ and ‘Love aaj kal’ in the past. And with ‘Highway’, Imtiaz agrees that the whole team had to face a lot of challenges and problems while shooting at outdoor locations, but the film itself has been inspired a lot by its making which means that not only the movie but also the entire journey is very important to him. And so, ‘Highway diaries’ is an attempt to share that with the audience.
